DMR Licensing and Landings Support at the Maine Fishermen's Forum

This is just a reminder that at the 2023 Fishermen’s Forum, DMR will have staff from both the Licensing Division and the Landings Program available to assist with any licensing or reporting needs.  Weather permitting, you can find them from 9 am to 3 pm, Thursday to Saturday, in the Samoset’s Fitness Center, ready to answer questions, or walk you through the online licensing or electronic reporting requirements.

The quarterly meeting of the Commercial Fishing Safety Council will take place from 12:30pm - 1:30pm on March 3, 2023.

In accordance with 5 M.R.S.A 6200 et seq., the Commercial Fishing Safety Council will vote on a Remote Meeting Policy at their March 3, 2023 Council meeting.

Public comment on this policy will be accepted at the Commercial Fishing Safety Council meeting to be held on March 3, 2023 at 12:30 PM. Written comments on the proposed meeting policy will be accepted until 4:30 PM March 2, 2023.

The public hearing to take comment on the proposed 2023 Atlantic menhaden season will be at 5:00 p.m. on February 27, 2023. The hearing is being held both in-person at DMR’s Augusta office (Marquardt Building, room 118, 32 Blossom Lane, Augusta) and remotely via Microsoft Teams. Remote participants can use a telephone to call into the meeting or use a computer/smartphone.
