June - is Get Outdoors Month!

  • Father's Day (Sunday, June 15, 2014) is Maine Resident's Day - FREE day for all Maine residents, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.. All vehicles bearing Maine license plates are allowed free entrance to Maine state parks and historic sites. Open admission does not apply to Baxter State Park, Scarborough Beach State Park, or the Penobscot Narrows Observatory in Prospect, though admission to Fort Knox State Historic Site will be free.
  • Fort McClary State Historic Site begins summer programming.
  • Colonial Pemaquid programs begin May 24 and run through August 30. View all Colonial Pemaquid events by using the Search Link at the top of this page or visit the Friends of Colonial Pemaquid website.
